LOCAL ALLSTATE AGENT GIVES NEW MEANING TO “GOOD HANDS”

Mesa, Arizona, October 25, 2005 – Lisa Giovetti, Exclusive Allstate Insurance Agent, announced the launch of a new community service program that emphasizes the importance of maintaining accurate records of their child’s growth and development.

The Giovetti Agency will supply a Child Safety Kit, developed by Allstate, and include finger printing at no charge to parents/children who attend one of the agency’s “Finger Printing Events.”

According to the National Incidence Study of Missing, Abducted, Runaway, and Throwaway Children, a report published in 2002 by the U.S. Department of Justice, in 1999 there were as many as:

203,900 children abducted by family members.

58,200 children abducted by persons other than family members. (strangers or acquaintances)

1,682,900 children ran away from home, were thrown out of their homes.

198,300 children missing involuntarily, or were lost of injured.

347,700 children were missing for short periods for benign reasons.

“We started this program because it was simply the right thing to do.  With the resources available to us through Allstate, we knew we had to get the message to our community that maintaining accurate records of your child’s growth could be the difference between a full-out tragedy and a close call.  The numbers of lost and missing children is staggering.  In recent weeks we even had a story of abduction in Gilbert.  As parents we must take responsibility to have up-to-date information regarding our children immediately available for the authorities in the event of a crisis situation,”  states Lisa Giovetti, agency owner and parent of 3 and grandparent of 1.

As active participants in the Health and Safety Fair at Power Ranch, the weekend of October 29, 2005, the Lisa Giovetti Agency will have Child Safety Kits available and will provide free finger printing at the event.  In addition, they will conduct a door-to-door offer at the Bayview Apartments, located at 1930 N. Country Club, Mesa, Az 85201; the week of November 3, 2005.  More events are being scheduled for 2006. For more information regarding the Child Safety Kits and finger printing, please contact the Lisa Giovetti Agency at 480-832-2324.
